Mormon Church - Evolution vs Joseph Smith, Jun. - Creationism / Beware of the Mormon Missionary / Latter-day Saints or Enemies of the Truth?

The modern-day Mormon cult likes to claim:  "The story and distinctive beliefs of the Latter-day Saints began with Joseph Smith's quest for religious truth."

Well, friends, Joseph Smith found the truth, but the Mormon cult has rejected the truth found by Joseph Smith.

Oh, they may claim to revere Smith as prophet, but:

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.   (Isaiah 8:20, Holy Bible)

GOD AS CREATOR - MADE ALL LIVING THINGS

Like this testimony of Joseph Smith:

Hearken, O ye people of my church, to whom the kingdom has been given; hearken ye and give ear to him who laid the foundation of the earth, who made the heavens and all the hosts thereof, and by whom all things were made which live, and move, and have a being. (Joseph Smith, Doctrine and Covenants 45:1, 1831)

STANDARD EVOLUTION JARGON

The Mormon cult has a different teaching, as we see at the Brigham Young University of Paleontology.  These Mormons use millions of years to define the age of the earth (see at left, click to enlarge), instead of the approximately 6,000 year age-of-earth described in the Bible.

FORSAKING THE OLD WAYMARKS

This Mormon theology is not at all consistent with the Biblical teaching that Jesus handled the creation:

1 Thus saith the Lord your God, even Jesus Christ, the Great I Am, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the same which looked upon the wide expanse of eternity, and all the seraphic hosts of heaven, before the world was made;

3 I am the same which spake, and the world was made, and all things came by me.
(Joseph Smith, Doctrine and Covenants 38, 1831)

WHILE CLAIMING TO STILL BE ON TRACK

But don’t the Mormons claim their church is under management of a prophet in our day?

SMITH WARNED OF MODERN-DAY MORMON MISSIONARIES AND "PROPHETS"

Behold, verily I say unto you, that there are many spirits which are false spirits, which have gone forth in the earth, deceiving the world. (Joseph Smith, Doctrine and Covenants 50:2, 1831)

In this case by teaching evolution, which is directly contrary to the book of Genesis in the Bible and D&C 45.

JOSEPH SMITH PROPHECY FULFILLED IN OUR DAY

Oh, these men like to claim to be prophets and apostles, but

And liars and hypocrites shall be proved by them, and they who are not apostles and prophets shall be known. (Joseph Smith, Doctrine and Covenants 64:39, 1831)

As you can see from the various documentations at this website.

Mormon Missionaries Peddle False Doctrine – in New York and around the Globe / Sabbath & the LDS Cult

THE PUBLIC FACE

Mormons are “known in New York City”, and around the world, “for clean-cut young missionaries in pressed white shirts”.  (Clare Trapasso, Mormon Helping Hands mobilizes for storm-ravaged Rockaways and Broad Channel, New York Daily News, 13 Nov 2012)

SUCH BELIEVERS -- WITH THE LIPS

If you talk to these people, they’ll swear up and down that Joseph Smith was a prophet, who put together the Book of Mormon and the Doctrines and Covenants.  They’ll even claim they believe in this stuff.

Like this commandment:

“And the inhabitants of Zion shall also observe the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” (Joseph Smith, Doctrines and Covenants 68:29, 1831)

That’s the seventh day, or Saturday:

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.  (Exodus 20, Holy Bible)

WHICH THE MORMONS ADMIT

The Mormons could hardly deny this, so:

"The Sabbath is the Lord's day, set apart each week for rest and worship. In Old Testament times, God's covenant people observed the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week because God rested on the seventh day when He had created the earth." (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Website, Sabbath, Gospel Topics)

THINKING TO CHANGE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
Of course, the modern-day Mormon cult scorns these commandments.  They go about their ordinary work on the Sabbath, and gather briefly at their clubhouses on Sundays:  "After the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which occurred on the first day of the week, the Lord's disciples began observing the Sabbath on the first day of the week, Sunday (see Acts 20:7)."  (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Website, Sabbath, Gospel Topics)  While desecrating the Sabbath of the Lord -- each and every week.

Acts 20:7 doesn't say what the missionaries claim:

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.  (Acts 20:7, Holy Bible)  No mention of either Sabbath celebration, or Sabbath change.

How can these Mormons get away with misrepresenting basic Bible teachings?

They let themselves “be seduced by evil spirits, or doctrines of devils, or the commandments of men; for some are of men, and others of devils.”  (Joseph Smith, Doctrines and Covenants 46:7, 1831)

The Mormon Sunday worship certainly doesn’t comply with the commandments of God.  So take your pick: 1) Modern Mormon practice is governed by the “commandments of men”, or 2) the “doctrines of devils” (per Joseph Smith, Doctrines and Covenants 46:7, 1831).

Or, as Jesus put it, "For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men".  (Mark 7:8, Holy Bible)

Oh, the Mormons still manage to fool all of the people some of the time: “It boggles my mind that there are still good people left like that in the world”.  (Jim O’Connor cited in Clare Trapasso, Mormon Helping Hands mobilizes for storm-ravaged Rockaways and Broad Channel, New York Daily News, 13 Nov 2012)

And then they manage to fool some of the people all of the time: “In 2010 there were an estimated 14.1 million Mormons”.  (Mormons, Wikipedia)

But the Mormons can’t fool all the people all of the time.

And God none of the time.

But doesn’t it help the Mormons to be a member of their temples?

“And after that you have received this, if you keep not my commandments you cannot be saved in the kingdom of my Father.” (Joseph Smith, Doctrines & Covenants 18:46, 1829)

"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20, Holy Bible)

The Mormon church is fond of telling people that Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery "on a certain day went into the woods to pray .... While we were ... praying and calling upon the Lord, a messenger from heaven descended in a cloud of light, and having laid his hands upon us, he ordained us." (see at right, click to enlarge)

BRILLIANT INSIGHTS

More revelations would follow:

And again, tobacco is not for the body, neither for the belly, and is not good for man, but is an herb for bruises and all sick cattle, to be used with judgment and skill.
9 And again, hot drinks are not for the body or belly. (Joseph Smith, Doctrines and Covenants 89, 1833)

This health reformer knew years ahead of science just how harmful tobacco and hot drinks are, and sternly forbade his church from using these. After all, "Drinking with meals, drinking hot and cold beverages, and using drinks as substitutes for good nutrition are harmful drinking practices that should be avoided." http://www.rawfoodexplained.com/the-harmfulness-of-beverages/harmful-drinking-practices.html

TREATED WITH MAXIMUM DISRESPECT BY APOSTATE TEMPLE MANAGEMENT

The Mormon HQ is located on Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. This Mormon-church owned establishment http://templesquarehospitality.com/restaurants/garden.php serves hot drinks.  Like "Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream" (as shown on Garden Restaurant menu pictured at right, click to enlarge).

A PATTERN OF CONTEMPT FOR PROPHETIC REVELATION

12  Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly; 13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine. (Joseph Smith, Doctrines and Covenants 89, 1833)

TEMPLE LEADERS SET EXAMPLE OF DISOBEDIENCE

While we have to understand that not every Mormon member may be on board with all the revelations, we just need to look at the practice of the organized church.

Right at Temple Square.

In (where else?) the Joseph Smith Building.

Specifically in the Nauvoo Restaurant.  Where they serve flesh meats on warm summer days, like that curry beef stew (see at left).

And these false prophets can get away with it?

"Verily, I say unto you, that woe shall come unto the inhabitants of the earth if they will not hearken unto my words;" (Joseph Smith, Doctrines & Covenants 5:5, 1829):  "Eating any kind of red meat was found to increase the chances of dying from heart disease by 16% and from cancer by 10%."  (Eating red meat raises 'substantially' risk of cancer or heart disease death, The Guardian, 12 March 2012)

PROPHET JOSEPH SMITH FORESAW THESE DEVELOPMENTS

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, that Satan has great hold upon their hearts; he stirreth them up to iniquity against that which is good"  (Joseph Smith, Doctrines & Covenants 10:20, 1828), as you've seen in this first-hand documentation from Temple Square.

Oh, they claim to be prophets and apostles, but "their hearts are corrupt, and full of wickedness and abominations; and they love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil". (Joseph Smith, Doctrines & Covenants 10:20, 1828)

So they keep this evil for themselves?

"Satan stirreth them up, that he may lead their souls to destruction."
 (Joseph Smith, Doctrines & Covenants 10:22, 1828)

Let the potential convert beware.
